De
Wet Niemann is the proud new owner of Um-Sha-Tu Photography
& Design.
His
passion for photography started at a very young age of 9, with
the occasional snapshot being taken mainly of nature scenes and
anything else that you could find in it. At this stage he had
to be satisfied with an average point-and-shoot film camera.
In
1999 he joined the old Pretoria Technikon to complete his degree
in art, whilst spending a large amount of time on photography
and B&W darkroom printing techniques. After three years in
art he decided to give his full attention to photography where
he joined the National College of Photography and graduated at
the end of 2002.
On
successfully completing his diploma course he started working
for a major photographic company focusing mainly on studio work,
including a variety of assignments such as family photos, kindergarten
photos and also weddings. Shortly after starting at this company,
he took over the entire photographic studio and continued with
the above mentioned work, but also spending a large amount of
time on general school photos. After gaining tremendous experience
in working with people, he soon realised that he has an absolute
passion for wedding photography and his desire to specialise in
weddings grew even stronger.
Today,
being a successful wedding photographer, De Wet finds pleasure
in providing each client with a complete product of the highest
standards, thus allowing you to relive your special day time and
again. Paying extra attention to customer service, and being more
creative than ever, his ultimate goal is to make your memories
last a lifetime.
