Booking & Pricing

Can we make a provisional booking?

No, due to the huge demand for Um-Sha-Tu no provisional bookings whatsoever will be allowed. Once you have requested to book a date with Um-Sha-Tu the date will be pencilled in for three days only, wherein the deposit must be paid.
May the deposit be paid in instalments?
Yes, we offer you the benefit of paying your deposit via instalments, which can only be done with three post-dated cheques. Please request for our Instalment Quotation.
When do we pay the outstanding balance?
Your outstanding balance must be paid upon collection, at the Um-Sha-Tu studio, in cash notes. However should you wish to pay via electronic payment or cheque, the amount must be verified before collection.
Will Um-Sha-Tu’s prices go up?
Yes, we have an annual price increase on the 1st of August. Weddings booked prior to the 1st of August current prices will apply.

How many weddings will Um-Sha-Tu cover in one day?
Only one, we spend the entire day to capture your wedding to bring you only the best.
How many photographers will be at our wedding?
You will have the benefit of two professional photographers capturing all your special moments.
How much time will you spend at our wedding?
We arrive at the venue five hours before the church service and stay until all the formalities are done, but no later than 22:00.
How many photos will be taken on our wedding day?
We will take between 700 and 900 photos.
What is the complimentary “Informative Session”?
During this session Um-Sha-Tu takes the time to meet with the couple one-on-one discussing the special events of your wedding day in detail. By attending this session you will benefit from expert advice to assist you with having a well organised and stress-free wedding day.
In this time we would like to share with you what we have learned from other couple’s mistakes, hence the reason for attending this complimentary but not compulsory session.

What is a digital album?
A “Digital Album” is an exact copy of your entire album in .exe format, which can be viewed on any PC. This enables you to have your album with you at all times and to give your parents, family and friends a copy.
Will we receive the negatives?
Yes, you will receive a disk containing all the images taken. These images can be printed for personal use and entering competitions only.
Who owns the copyright?
Um-Sha-Tu will remain the sole owner of the copyright even though the client(s) has commissioned Um-Sha-Tu to be the official photographers of their wedding. This means Um-Sha-Tu has the right to use any and/or all the image(s) for the purpose of their choice, unless otherwise arranged. The client may also use the images for marketing purposes with the official credit given to Um-Sha-Tu.
   
Location & Travelling
Where is the Um-Sha-Tu studio located?
We are situated in Centurion in close proximity to the Sandton / Pretoria West off-ramp.
How far will Um-Sha-Tu travel?
We will capture your wedding wherever you choose to get married, whether it is local or abroad.
How much will Um-Sha-Tu charge to travel to our venue?
A 50km radius of travelling from our studio is free, excluding toll roads. Travelling after the 50km radius, a rate of R3.00 p/km will be charged. However any travelling further than 300km radius, a special rate will be calculated (Please contact us for more information).
   
Your Album & Various
Will Um-Sha-Tu need a seat and a meal at the reception?
Yes, a seat and a meal must be provided for the photographers. There is no specific area where we must be seated, as long as we have easy access to the events of the reception. After all, we spend the entire day to capture unforgettable photos, so a seat and a meal would be nice.
Who will choose the photos that will go into our wedding album?
Your album images will be selected by the trained professionals of Um-Sha-Tu.
Will there be editing done to our photos?
Minimal editing adjustments will be made to enhance the beauty of each photo, nothing artificial will be added.
Who will create and assemble our album?
Your album will only be created and assembled, with the utmost care, by the Um-Sha-Tu professionals.
How soon after our wedding can we view some of our photos?
You can get a glance of your photos within 3-4 days from your wedding. You can view this on the “Some Recent Weddings” page.
How soon after the wedding can we collect our album?
Since the beginning of Um-Sha-Tu no client has waited longer than 2 weeks to collect their album.
